When you arrive at Parc de Witte Vennen, located in the charming village of Oostrum, you are surrounded by the lush Limburg countryside. The green surroundings offer countless cycling and walking routes through the Maas valley, past strawberry and asparagus fields, and through atmospheric tree nurseries. Oostrum itself has a relaxed atmosphere and offers several local eateries where you can enjoy Limburg hospitality.
Parc de Witte Vennen is rich in culture and nature. Just 6 kilometres away is cosy Venray, where you can enjoy a typical Limburg flan in one of the many cafés. For nature lovers, the National Parks De Maasduinen and De Groote Peel are within reach, perfect for a day of hiking fun.
Various excursions are possible nearby, such as a visit to Toverland amusement park, the Hertog Jan Brewery, or Parc Overloon zoo. Cycling enthusiasts can choose from five beautiful cycling routes, ranging from 25 to 60 km, which take you through the beautiful North Limburg countryside and even to the German pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. Walkers can enjoy routes through the silence area Landgoed Geijsteren or a bit of the Pieterpad. Bike rental and route maps are available at reception.
