Cozy and nature-rich family campsite just across the border Just across the German border, on the shore of the Pröbstingsee lake, you'll find Camping Borken am See. This family-friendly campsite offers a wide range of activities and amenities, perfect for children up to 13 years old. From an outdoor pool and a toddler pool with a fountain to a large adventure climbing forest, multiple playgrounds, climbing frames, a 30-meter-long zipline, bouncy castles, and a 25-meter air trampoline, there's always something fun to do. Enjoy a drink on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the lake, while the children entertain themselves on the mini-golf course or participate in the activities organized by the enthusiastic animation team (during the summer holidays). Thanks to the car-free environment, kids can safely run around. Additionally, there are numerous hiking and cycling routes starting directly from the campsite, perfect for exploring the beautiful Hohe Mark nature reserve.Highlights of Camping Borken am See:Direct access to Pröbstingsee lake: Camping Borken am See is located right on the shores of Pröbstingsee, where you can swim and relax on the sunbathing lawn. Water play equipment provides extra fun for the whole family. You can also explore the lake by pedal boat, Canadian canoe, or rowboat.Adventure in the climbing forest: In the deciduous forests of the Hohe Mark near Camping Borken am See, you'll find a climbing forest with 10 different routes at varying heights. From nets and bridges to cables and beams, each route offers a new challenge for both young and old, with safety always being the top priority.Large outdoor pool: Camping Borken am See features a large outdoor pool, offering 240 m² of swimming fun. The pool has a gradual slope, making it suitable for all ages. For the youngest guests, there is a toddler pool with a fountain. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and a kiosk are available around the pool area.

From Utrecht, Camping Borken am See is a 1 hour and 36 minutes drive. An ideal distance for a weekend getaway, but of course also for a longer family vacation.

Since our campsite is very close to the Dutch border, the climate is similar to what we experience here. So, if you want a high chance of good weather, book your vacation in July or August. May, June, and September can also have pleasant weather, making it easy to book a last-minute holiday to this lovely campsite.
