Il Poggetto is a charming family campsite, surrounded by Tuscan hillside landscapes and not far from Florence. The campsite is located near the village of Troghi and is surrounded by the olive trees and vineyards of the Chianti region. Here, you’ll find a wide range of facilities, including a restaurant with beautiful views, a large swimming pool with a sun terrace, a riding school, playgrounds, an adventure park, and various sports fields. During the summer months, there is an extensive animation program for young and old: think of sports tournaments, aqua aerobics, and live music. The campsite is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. You can rent bicycles and there is a direct bus connection to Florence. Siena, Pisa, and Lucca are also easily accessible.

Discover the beautiful Tuscan surroundings with your family from Camping Il Poggetto. Florence, the famous cultural city, is just 15 kilometers away. Take the bus that stops in front of the campsite and enjoy a day in this historic city. Admire the imposing cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, stroll over the famous Ponte Vecchio, and finish your day at a charming square. Other cities such as Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Arezzo are within 1 to 2 hours’ drive.
Around the campsite, you can enjoy lovely walks and bike rides through vineyards and olive groves. Alternatively, explore the Tuscan hills on horseback. The impressive Sammezzano Castle, surrounded by an ecological park, is located just 7.2 km away. The Valombrosa forests, also 7 km away, are ideal for an active day in nature, with walking routes suitable for all ages.
For culture, visit the Pieve di San Leolino (7.9 km) or the Museum of Religious Art in Figline e Incisa Valdarno (13.6 km). These locations offer an interesting insight into local history and art.

At Il Poggetto, you can check in from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, you must check out by 10:00 AM.
Il Poggetto is located in the heart of Tuscany, near the village of Troghi. The campsite is easily accessible by both car and plane.
Car
Camping Il Poggetto is close to the A1 motorway. From Utrecht, it is approximately 1,350 km to drive, which translates to a travel time of about 14 hours, depending on traffic and the chosen route.
Flying
If you prefer to fly, you can use Florence Airport (Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola). This airport is only 25 km from the campsite, which is about a 30-minute drive. From there, you can easily travel to the campsite by rental car, taxi, or public transportation.
