Surroundings
Located along the stunning coastline of the Gallura region, Baia Blu La Tortuga offers various nearby attractions. One of the highlights is the Costa Paradiso, just a 25-minute drive away. This rugged coastal area is famous for its hiking trails along ancient fortresses and viewpoints, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and the nearby Corsica. The numerous bays and beaches in this area are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing.
Right next to the campsite is Vignola Beach, easily accessible by foot. It’s a quiet spot with fine white sand and crystal-clear water. You can also find the Arogenese Tower, "Torre di Vignola," and the famous turtle-shaped rock, which the campsite is named after. For those who want to explore further, Santa Teresa di Gallura is about 18 km away, a picturesque coastal town offering excursions to Corsica. A slightly longer trip of about an hour will take you to Olbia, the largest city in the area.
For a cozy night out, you don’t have to travel far. In the nearby village of Vignola Mare, around 1.2 km behind the campsite, there are several restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties. There are also more shops, restaurants, and supermarkets in Aglientu, 8 km away.
Pratical information
The campsite is open from 17/04 to 30/09
Reception is open from 7am to 11pm in high season and from 8am to 10pm in low season.
If the guest arrives after 11pm, there is a night porter who will show the guest where the accommodation is. In case of a late arrival, we recommend always informing reception in advance.
Restaurant/market: from 17/04/25 to 13/10/25
Swimming pool: open from 24/5/25 to 14/09/25.
Entertainment from 14/06/25 to 31/08/25.
- Please note: Tourist tax must be paid on-site. The tourist tax is €2.00 per person per night.
- Please note: An ecotax must be paid on-site at this campsite. This fee is €2.80 per person per night.
- Between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, quiet hours are in effect, and driving on the campsite is prohibited. Outside these times, you must park your car in the central parking lot of the campsite.
- At the swimming pool, wearing a swim cap is mandatory.
At Baia Blu La Tortuga, you can check in from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, you must check out by 10:00 AM.
Baia Blu La Tortuga is located in Aglientu, on the northern coast of Sardinia, and is easily accessible by both plane and car. Sardinia might sound like a distant destination, but the journey is certainly manageable!
By Plane
Flying is a fast and comfortable option. In just 2.5 hours, you can fly from the Netherlands to the airports of Sardinia. The nearest airport is Olbia – Costa Smeralda, about 65 kilometers from the campsite. From there, you can easily rent a car or take a taxi. It takes approximately one hour to arrive at Baia Blu La Tortuga.
By Car
Prefer to travel with your own car? From Utrecht, it’s approximately a 14-hour drive to Genoa or Livorno, where you can take the ferry to Olbia. The crossing takes about 8 hours, allowing you to arrive well-rested and start your vacation immediately.
