Camping Le Canigou is located at the foot of the stunning Pyrenees in Southern France and offers an unforgettable holiday for the whole family. This charming campsite, run by Dutch owners for over 30 years, is set on 7 hectares of land amidst an old cherry orchard and a peaceful mountain stream. In the low and mid-season, you can enjoy peace and tranquility, while the summer months are specially designed for families with teenagers aged 10 to 20. The campsite is renowned for its wide range of adventurous outdoor activities but is also popular with guests who enjoy cycling and hiking. The campsite features a cozy restaurant, various sports facilities, and a comprehensive entertainment program. Take part in activities such as sports tournaments, raft building, or evening programs featuring live music, pub quizzes, and bingo. Children and teenagers can also have fun in the lounges near the reception. Just 5 km away, there is a large recreational lake at Vinça, where you can surf and canoe.

- Natural swimming area in the river: In the spring, the Llech river is partially dammed, creating a safe and natural swimming area about 1.5 meters deep. Perfect for a refreshing dip!

There is a rope course in the trees on the campsite where you can move like a real monkey through the treetops (safely harnessed, of course).

Camping Le Canigou is located between Prades and Vinça, in the valley of the Llech River, surrounded by vineyards in the peaceful Pyrénées-Orientales. Here, families can enjoy nature and tranquility without the tourist crowds. For daily shopping, you can visit Vinça, just 5 kilometers away, or Prades, about 10 kilometers away. At the recreational lake in Vinça, you can surf and canoe. Perpignan is only a 30-minute drive away, offering cozy cafés and cultural landmarks, while Barcelona can be reached within an hour and a half.
The region offers a rich mix of culture, sports, and nature. Visit the medieval town of Villefranche-de-Conflent, explore the impressive Grottes des Canalettes, or hike up the majestic Pic du Canigou. The campsite is open from 4 April until 26 September 2026.
Reception opening hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm during low season and from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm during high season. If guests arrive outside reception hours, they can report to the restaurant for further instructions.
The restaurant is open in June from Thursday to Sunday. In July and August, the restaurant is open daily.
The swimming pool is open from June until September.
Entertainment is available from 11 July until 15 August.
- Please note, tourist tax must be paid on-site. The tourist tax is €0.43 per person per night, payable from the age of 18.
- Please note, an ecotax is charged at this campsite. This surcharge is €0.95 per person per night.
- At Les Bois du Bardelet, you must pay a deposit upon check-in. The deposit is €150.
At Camping Le Canigou, check-in is possible from 4:00 pm. If you arrive outside reception opening hours (8:00 am–12:00 pm during low season and 8:00 am–6:00 pm during high season), please report to the restaurant. On the day of departure, check-out is before 10:00 am.
Camping Le Canigou is located in Espira-de-Conflent, in the Pyrenees in southern France. The campsite is easily accessible by car.
The campsite is situated on the D55, just 3 kilometers from the main road N116 towards Perpignan and Andorra. From Utrecht, it is approximately 1,350 kilometers, with a travel time of around 13.5 hours, depending on traffic and the chosen route.
