Camping De Vaubarlet is located in the relatively unknown Haute-Loire region of France. The campsite is surrounded by green landscapes, rolling hills, and the Dunière River.
For active families, there are numerous options. The region has been shaped by over 300 volcanoes, creating a unique landscape with green valleys, rugged gorges, and rounded mountain peaks. For hikers, there is a network of no less than 5,200 km of walking paths, including the famous GR65 path that runs between Le Puy-en-Velay and Santiago de Compostela. Mountain bikers can choose from various routes through the spectacular volcanic landscape. Just 12 km away is the Barrage de Lavalette, a beautiful lake where you can sail, kayak, and pedal boat.
Culture lovers will enjoy the nearby towns. Sainte-Sigolène, located 6.2 km away, offers interesting museums like La Fabrique and La Maison de Béate. A visit to Le Puy-en-Velay (40 km), a UNESCO World Heritage city, is a must-see. Here, you can admire the ancient cathedral and the chapel Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe built on a high rock. It leads you through the beautiful countryside of Auvergne. Main road N8 is close to the campsite and connects Saint-Étienne with Le Puy-en-Velay. This road makes the campsite easily accessible from different directions.From Utrecht, the travel distance is about 980 km, which means a journey time of about 10 hours, depending on traffic and the route you choose.
