Pian di Boccio
Homely campsite in the heart of Umbria
Pian di Boccio is a homely, small-scale campsite in the heart of Umbria. It is beautifully situated nearby the fortress town of Bevagna and within a radius of 60 kilometres from the most important cities in Umbria. Sports activities, nice weather and the enjoyment of the typical Italian lifestyle come together here. Our Villatents in this area are uniquely located in the middle of an olive orchard with a breath-taking view on the mountainous landscape. These surroundings are perfect for walking, cycling, and mountain biking.
About the campsite
Pian di Boccio has sufficient sports facilities, such as for football, tennis, volleyball, and archery. It also has a playground. You can hire bicycles at the reception, where you are also informed about nice cycle routes that take you through the Umbria region. Getting hungry after a long cycle trip? At the pizzeria with its real wood-fired oven, you can have delicious typically Italian meals. Furthermore, there are a small bar and a shop at the campsite for your basic daily groceries. Here, you can also order fresh buns for the following morning.
Villatents at Pian di Boccio
The campsite has three luxurious Villatent Nomad. The tents are clustered together with a number of other safari tents in a separate section of the campsite: the olive orchard! (See map.) This is the perfect spot for enjoying peace, space, the view, and the great weather. The tents have a fan that provides extra cooling during the hot days. The facilities, such as the swimming pool and the shop, are located a bit farther away, but the magnificent view is certainly worth this minor inconvenience!
Swimming pool
Pian di Boccio has a large swimming park consisting of three pools: two for adults and one for children. Around the swimming pool, there is a sun-bathing terrace with lounge seats plus a cosy bar where you can have a refreshing drink or ice cream. During the high season, there is always a bath superintendent present. It is compulsory to wear a bathing cap.
Activities and entertainment
In the high season, there is an entertainment team with an extensive programme for both children and adults. For example, the team organises pizza-workshops, dance evenings, theatre, and water sports activities in the swimming pool. Sports lovers can participate in tournaments and aqua gymnastics. And do you want to learn archery? During the high season, members of the local archery association visit the campsite twice a week to give archery lessons.
