Charming campsite on Lake Pareloup in Southern France
Les Genêts is a charming five-star campsite located on Lake Pareloup in Southern France. The campsite is situated in Aveyron, in the midst of a rural area with beautiful vast landscapes of plateaus and valleys. Thanks to its perfect location by the lake, you’ll never run out of things to do. Swimming, pedal boating, kayaking, and surfing will easily fill your day. The campsite is ideal for families with children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers! Camping Les Genêts offers a large sports and play area where you can play football, basketball, mini-golf, pétanque, jump on the bouncy castle, or work out in the outdoor fitness area. There’s also a play area for smaller children. The swimming pool is the heart of the campsite, as is the wellness area where you can relax. You’ll also find a small shop for daily groceries, a restaurant, and a bar where you can enjoy a cold drink or delicious cocktail. Important sports events are broadcast in the bar.
- Water fun for everyone: There is a heated outdoor pool with a small slide and a separate children's pool. Around the pool, there are sun loungers available. The campsite is directly located by a lake with a wide sandy beach. Children can enjoy inflatable water play equipment. You can also rent pedal boats, kayaks, and canoes here.
- Active entertainment program: During the high season, you can join the kids’ club, sports activities, and in the evening, there are various concerts, themed evenings, and performances. For teenagers, there’s a disco on the campsite, located away from the sleeping areas to avoid disturbance.
- Beautiful location: The campsite is located between Millau and Rodez, at about 806 meters above sea level, making it the perfect base to explore the whole Aveyron area.

Les Gênets is located in beautiful Aveyron, on the shores of Lake Pareloup, one of the largest reservoirs in France. There are several reservoirs in the area. It is the ideal base for enjoying nature and the sights of the Midi-Pyrénées region. The area is characterized by landscapes with high plateaus and deep valleys, only 60 km from iconic places like the Gorges du Tarn.
Aveyron is the destination for outdoor activity enthusiasts. Think canoeing on the lake, hiking, mountain biking routes, and even paragliding. Besides the sports activities, there is much more to enjoy: take a ride on a shared vélorail, visit Micropolis, go on a boat trip, or experience a unique boat trip under the Millau Viaduct. For daily groceries, you can head to the nearby village of Salles-Curan (5 km).
The region is known for having the largest number of beautiful villages in France. Examples include Castelnau-Pégayrols (23 km) and Peyre (38 km). Other interesting places, such as the regional nature park Grands Causses (17 km) and the iconic Gorges du Tarn (60 km), are within easy reach.
