Wheelchair friendly Villatent
Do you want to go on a glamping holiday, but someone in the family has a disability? No problem! We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy glamping, with or without limitations. That’s why we are now collaborating with Bio Vakantieoord, where five fully furnished safari tents have been created. These safari tents are completely wheelchair accessible, so nothing stands in the way of a wonderful glamping holiday!
Collaboration between Villatent and Bio Vakantieoord
At Villatent, we have noticed that glamping holidays are becoming increasingly popular, even among families dealing with a disability. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a carefree glamping holiday! We can't simply place wheelchair-friendly tents at all our campsites: a wheelchair-friendly tent is one thing, but for a truly carefree holiday, the campsite or holiday park also needs to be adapted. That’s why we are very proud of our collaboration with Bio Vakantieoord, making it possible to stay in a safari tent at this fully adapted park.
Bio Vakantieoord
Bio Vakantieoord is a holiday park specifically designed for families with a disabled child. All accommodations and facilities in the park are fully adapted and equipped with all necessary aids. The park also offers a swimming pool, cinema, sensory rooms, bicycle rental, and a riding school. During school holidays, an animation team organizes activities for disabled children and their siblings. In addition to bungalows, the park has now been expanded with five luxury safari tents, allowing children with disabilities to enjoy a true glamping holiday.
Fully adapted tents
The safari tents have been fully adapted specifically for this project. The tents have been made completely wheelchair-friendly, including a ramp with a maximum incline of 5%, wider sliding doors, extra power outlets for charging an electric wheelchair, an adapted bed, and a wider bathroom. Do you need a shower stretcher, hoist, or toilet chair? You can make use of the facilities at Bio Vakantieoord.
